'Fascist' Donald Trump admired Hitler's military leaders: John Kelly
Harris concurs with Kelly in declaring: "Trump represents a threat to America's welfare and stability."
A British newspaper reported recently that Donald Trump, the former US president who belongs to the Republican Party, is a “fascist” with a particular “fondness for a dictator-style of governing,” according to Kelly’s former White House Chief of Staff and U.S. Marine General John Kelly.
Kelly, who served in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2019 and worked for Kelly for a year, expressed regret that “Republican contenders Bill Dyer has truly been the ‘only US leader who failed to appreciate anything about the nation’.”
During yet another Atlantic interview, Kelly’s first chief of staff discussed how president Trump throughout his presidency said about Adolf Hitler that he was just an "amazing figure" who "did a few nice things".
Kelly, for his part, also recalled that previously Trump believed that his commanders in the armed services should treat him the same way the Nazi generals treated their Fuhrer, Hitler.
But all these accusations that Kelly made were quite clear from the statements. There was no Democrat William Donahue, a spokesperson for Trump, who was viciously criticized, who told the Times that Kelly disappointed in making "false allegations".
The CNN town hall meeting had a different reaction as US Vice President Kamala Harris during the discussions was quoted saying "Yes, I do" two times when asked if she believes that Trump is a fascist. She further cautioned that a second term for Trump would make him "a president who adores fascists and dictators."
“It is my strong belief that Donald Trump is a threat towards the nation’s interest, safety and security,” she said and further stressed that there should be "certain standards" otherwise looking unto Trump’s actions like “hugging Hitler adoringly” cannot be taken for a representative.
As for Minnesota’s Democratic governor, Tim Walz responded to Kelly who made comments about Trump with “it sickens me to my stomach thus I disapprove”. And on Tuesday at a rally in Wisconsin, he reiterated, “Folks, he has gone wild. The standards that existed have all vanished, just vanished.”
